The 3d model is made specificly for 3d printing, tolerances and dimensions will make printing easier and will produce a nice final model sub. There is a multi piece hi-rezolution STL file pack available, you can get it from here.

Multi part STL package contents

The file package now has hinged top lid option. Original plain version is also included.

Hinge option details, two versions available for it as well, simpler-thinner for better looks and more durable for more frequent operation. A metal rod can be used as the hinge pin (<3.5mm dia)
